Country

A nation with its own government, occupying a particular territory (Oxford) An area of land that is controlled by its own government (Merriam Webster) An area of land that has its own government, army, etc. (Cambridge)

Culture

The beliefs, customs, arts, etc of a particular society, group, place, or time.  A particular society that has its own beliefs, ways of life, art, etc. (Merriam Webster) The customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements of a particular nation, people. (Oxford) The way of life, especially the general customs and beliefs, of a particular group of people at a particular time (Cambridge)

Heritage

The way of life, especially the general customs and beliefs, of a particular group of people at a particular time (Cambridge) The traditions, achievements, beliefs, etc…, that are part of the history of a group or nation. (Merriam Webster) Valued objects and qualities such as historic buildings and cultural traditions that have been passed down from previous generations (Oxford)

Immigrant

A person who goes to a country to live there (Merriam Webster) A person who has come to a different country in order to live there permanently (Oxford) A person who has come to a different country in order to live there permanently (Cambridge)

Pioneer

A person, who goes to an area and builds a house, begins a farm, etc... (Cambridge) A person who is among the first to explore or settle a new country or area (Oxford) A person who is one of the first people to move to and live in a new area (Merriam Webster)
